Dr. Hausmann's Speech
Siemens China President and CEO Dr. Richard Hausmann addressed more than 200 students at Tsinghua University's School of Economics and Management in late May.
Dr. Haussmann introduced the history of Siemens, the company's core values, its consistent efforts in innovation and the reasons for its long-term success. He also took the opportunity to answer students questions on issues such as corporate management, innovation and employee development. His presentation was warmly received by the students.
The lecture is part of a series organized in universities by "The Economic Observer", one of China's leading business newspapers, for the most-admired companies in China. Siemens China has been selected as one of China's top 25 most-admired companies in a recent survey conducted by the newspaper and Peking University's Management Case Research Center.
SSME Supports Medical Education
Siemens Shanghai Medical Equipment Ltd. (SSME), an operating company of Siemens China Medical Solutions Group, and Shanghai Medical Instrument College (SMIC) signed a strategic agreement on cooperation in medical education in late March.
Under the agreement, SSME will offer scholarships to excellent students and provide allowances to students in need of financial assistance. It will also provide more internship and job opportunities to SMIC graduates, and select some of its managers and staff to serve as part-time tutors at the college, giving the students a valuable opportunity to learn from experiences of seasoned professionals.
Siemens Sponsors Industrial Automation Education
Siemens Automation and Drives Group (A&D) has emphasized its commitment to industrial automation education by signing a strategic agreement with the Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), one of the leading science and technology universities in China, in early March.
Under this agreement, Siemens will offer scholarships to the best students at HIT, and will also provide internship and employment opportunities to HIT graduates.
